Have you ever wondered:
• Why are many process models so complex and detailed?
• Why do users feel hindered by processes, especially when working with agile methods?
• Why is finding the correct answers in audits and assessments sometimes difficult?
• Why do process users often not know what to deliver, when, and in what quality?
The underlying cause of these symptomatic problems is that we focus too much on doing, on activities. This way of thinking is found in all industries alike.
In this presentation, we will show how process-results-oriented thinking and modeling address the problems mentioned above and thus improve adherence to defined processes in their daily execution. We will also show that results-oriented thinking is a prerequisite for future-proof development in the face of increasingly complex process requirements and products.
Short biography
Simone Birke is a Process Expert at Siemens-Healthineers. One of her tasks currently is to support integration of so called reference processes within different quality management systems with the intent of harmonization enabling digitalization within Healthineers. As such trials for harmonization of processes are always difficult, the trend in process definition is to reduce focus on doing but to strengthen the focus on the process results.
