The organizational, technical, and methodical situation of a company that transforms into new business areas is a tough challenge for us process experts. Highly dynamic structural changes can become quite overwhelming. The focus is getting lost, and negative emotions kick in, like the feeling of uncertainty and aimlessness. This leads to rising powerlessness, and as a last resort, the protective instincts snap shut: passivity. You decide to go with the flow in the maelstrom of opposing and shifting forces.
What if we tell you that the steering wheel is still in your hands? What if the ocean of attitudes and movements can be navigated and you’re just missing the right compasses?
The shift from passive to proactive is the key to success.
The presentation will show organizational and methodical approaches to find a way for successful process development despite these seemingly adverse circumstances. It is important to accept given structures and design processes cross-functionality on the organizational level. The presentation shows that process management governance can be established in this way if user-centered solutions are chosen at the same time on the methodical level. Flexible process variant management, which introduces paradigms from product line development and mechanisms from object-oriented software development, make this approach an excellent compass for successful process management.
