Current „state of the art” process models are good and solid descriptions of what we envision to happen in real project situations. They get more and more useful in the sense of becoming a complete theoretical model of what needs to happen in order to achieve a business target e.g. develop a service or a product. They are adapted to various business sectors. But across many companies we receive feedback that experienced “power users” understand exactly how to find their tools, methods, templates or descriptions, while sporadic visitors struggle in finding process models useful at all. To them models are more or less a maze that hinders them to find the one single template they need now. So they take the phone and ask someone who knows…
In our days, where ChatGPT helps in writing articles, speeches, search multiple sources across the web, we experiment with ChatBOT approaches to create a parallel more friendly UI to the process model for sporadic use of a process model. Let’s see our status and intensify the discussion if this path supports users effectively and shall be followed further.
