For the longest time, process management has focused on process definition, completeness and consistency, reviews and approvals, and compliance to standards and regulations. All of this is necessary and required, but in times of monumental technological and socioeconomic changes in our industries, while being on shoestring budgets, it is not sufficient anymore.
Process management needs to improve in practice and deliver measurable added value. In product development with its knowledge workers, this is even more difficult than in other business functions. It needs to provide the right level of content to the practitioners, help them to do the right things at the right time, and be deeply involved in practical business execution.
In short, process management needs to improve its impact.
In this presentation, we will discuss how the above insights are represented in the Stages roadmap and give an outlook on future Stages releases.
